Project: “Covid-19 Detection Canine” (where education meets science)

AWiAS is a company renowned in the training of detection dogs, dog handlers and the use of dog handler teams. In the early second quarter of 2020 the AWiAS team began research and development on COVID-19 Detection Canine. It was particularly important to the team to understand such an important project on a scientifically sound basis. The AWiAS team assembled experts to work in partnership, the team included medical, analytical, and training experts.

The COVID-19 Detection Canine project was supported with staff members from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main and the Institute for Security Research at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. The research and development is being conducted in four phases. We have reached partial goals and we are currently in a phase that allows for outside participation.

The AWiAS team invites you to be a part of this important and cutting-edge project. As participants you will have an opportunity to see two canines (Rebel and Drago) who have been successfully trained in the program!
