3-Step IS-BAH Audit Process
Audit Preparation
At this step, you already familiarised yourself with IS-BAH. That means, you took the training workshop at IBAC, you trained your personnel and you updated your manuals accordingly.
As a means to prepare the audit, it is mendatory to fill out the IS-BAH audit reference list and provide it to the auditor. You will receive the list from IBAC after purchasing the standard.
After that, we will send you the audit plan for the agreed date and we will notify IBAC of the planned IS-BAH audit.
Onsite Audit
On the day of the audit, we want the FBO to operate normally. It is not required to pull people out of normal work tasks just for the audit.
An audit is a snapshot
We will cover all chapters of IS-BAH during the audit. Yet, we will not be able to dive deep into every detail of the standard or your operations. This is fully in line with the standard and the expectations from IBAC.
We stand for open communication and an atmosphere of trust during the audit.
As auditors, it is our goal to grasp an idea of the IS-BAH related procedures that have been implemented. Depending on the audit scope (Stage 1, 2 or 3), we will emphasise certain aspects during the audit. Interviews with individuals from every departmend play a role with IS-BAH. Again, people shall go after their normal work tasks. We may kindly ask them for an interview while they are available.
IS-BAH Registration
After the onsite audit, you will receive the audit report. The audit report includes all items required by IBAC: audit protocol, audit report form, list of corrective actions.
After your approval of the audit report and the corrective action plan, we will hand in the audit report documents to IBAC for processing and approval.
A recent amendment of the standard requires all corrective actions to be closed before issue of the IS-BAH certificate.
Usually, the processing time of the audit report at IBAC is 3-4 weeks.
