The professional event for detection dog handlers, trainers and those who want to become one

AWiAS Detection Dog Workshop

For the first time, we, AWiAS Aviation Services GmbH, are organizing a detection dog workshop in Germany from July 7 to 9, 2023.

The aim is not only to bring together experts and thus provide the opportunity for a lively exchange, but also in particular to learn new things with a great personal gain in knowledge.

Trainers for explosive detection dogs in the area of responsibility of the Federal Aviation Authority can count the event on Friday, July 7, 2023 as an officially recognized training course by the LBA.

We are particularly pleased to have won over Prof. Jens Frank from the Swedish Working Dog Institute, a great figure in the field. He will guide us through this 3-day workshop with his professional know-how.

Your four-legged friend may also be present at the workshop. However, the number of places is limited to a total of 10 dogs.

Who is Jens Frank?

Dr. Jens Frank of the Scandinavian Working Dog Institute (SWDI) trains dog handlers and special dogs, mainly from police and armed forces. He holds a position as professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

His specialties include leading at a distance, as well as out of sight.

The workshop combines theory with many practical parts. Jens Frank feels more confident in the English language, but we will provide a simultaneous translation into German, especially for the theory part.

Your four-legged friend can also join the workshop. However, the number of places is limited to a total of 10 dogs.
